How our diverse approach to water shaped the re-opening of an open pit mine
In the 1990s, a former gold mine that had operated in various forms ceased operations. Site infrastructure was decommissioned, and the open pit was allowed to fill with water. When the client decided to restart operations, Ecometrix’s team of experts took a collaborative and comprehensive approach to solve environmental and regulatory challenges.

MineMod: A water body solution shaped by Ecometrix experts
The development of MineMod™ began in 2009 as an extension of our specialized monitoring database software, EMMA. Since then, it’s evolved and adapted as new members with different scientific backgrounds and perspectives have joined our team. Today, it’s a comprehensive solution that models a site’s water balance and predicts quality for a series of water bodies.
