Thoughts from the founders
This September, Ecometrix celebrates its 20th year in business. For two decades, we’ve been committed to being at the forefront of change, building a team of passionate experts, and delivering outstanding environmental project results to clients.

To mark the occasion, we spoke with Bruce Rodgers and Brian Fraser, two of our founders, on the company’s beginning, culture, and vision for the future.

Meet Carman Stevens, our Senior Mine Closure Specialist
Earlier this year, Carman joined our growing team, bringing over 20 years of experience in environmental science and mine closures. She's worked in projects spanning dam safety support, remedial design and impact assessment, and revegetation.

How is hydrodynamic modelling helping the mining industry?
Pit lakes are a critical part of a mine closure plan, typically purpose-built before a mining operation starts. By harnessing hydrodynamic modelling, Ecometrix is helping clients ensure those plans are viable long into the future.

A day on the tracks
Earlier this month, the Ecometrix team switched gears for a day of go-karting to celebrate its continued growth. While there were winners, losers, and lots of tight turns, it was great to connect and socialize.
