EcoMetrix welcomes a new team member Jorge Lussio, M.Sc.

Mr. Jorge Lussio joins EcoMetrix as an Environmental Scientist. He received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in biology from the Catholic University in Ecuador; a Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences from University of Wageningen in The Netherlands; and a Master’s Degree in Plant Pathology from the University of Minnesota. While in Minnesota, he conducted research with nitrogen fixing bacteria to improve nitrogen fixation in legumes. Jorge’s broad range of experience includes water and wastewater treatment, renewable energy, biofuels and Clean Development Mechanism projects in Canada and South America. His most recent project experience related to methane gas produced by anaerobic digesters and their treatment using microorganisms in anoxic biotrickling filters to eliminate contaminating impurities such as hydrogen sulphide.
