Michelle McKinley and Rob Eakins represented EcoMetrix at the 38th Aquatic Toxicity Workshop (ATW), October 02-06, 2011, at the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The ATW is forum for academics, industry leaders, consultants and government scientists to come together to exchange information in the field of aquatic toxicology and related disciplines. The focus for this year was “Watersheds: Environmental Integration on a Landscape Scale”. Within this theme, the conference explored options for preserving or restoring large lake health in Canada. The central importance of the theme was the concept that aquatic health begins with watershed management. Thanks to the efforts of the 2011 organizing committee the conference was a big success.
